commented onStallone is selling his Grandmaster Chime by Patek Philippe after five years having never worn it. What's your view on this?·
Guy likely has a massive watch collection so i don't think selling off 10 or 11 watches is so weird. Does anyone think his kids will care about them? I find the you have to keep x object for life people as weird as hodinkee when they did that article about how sharing your watch is like sharing your wife. Watches shouldn't be that serious imo.
After buying a rail master ive realized the difference between micros and the big boys isn't as stark as i thought unless you are looking at movements or heritage both of which on the whole i don't care as much about. I think for most people microbrands are where the value is at.
I purchased an omega rail master from jomashop I am more than happy with. Came in the original omega box. You don’t get the manufacturer warranty for most higher priced watches but you do get a jomashop warranty and even if you did want to service with say Longines the amount you save will probably more than make up for the service.
Seeing as i bought the Railmaster in real life, the rail master. Its a great unassuming watch and unless you are wearing a tuxedo every day, it can be dressed up for work or down imo. Love that its brushed and not very blingy.
unless someone is a watch nerd they have never heard of GO and would never even recognize it’s an homage. While some might look down on homages at the end of the day you are the one wearing it. If you like it buy it.
