I have had a couple of Glycine airman's and only one (a murdered out one that I loved but couldn't read- it was so dark) had a GMT hand that wouldn't align properly, I wouldn't trust buying another one, so I appreciate where you're coming from.
I have had a lot of Steinhart watches over the last few years and they have always been supremely accurate but I have to agree about the quality of the clasps on their bracelets. My favourite was a 47mm bronze fleiger with a hand wound Valjoux (?) movement.
I bought the Panda version on a steel strap just over a week ago and I absolutely love it and it is the most tactile watch I own and a joy to use and wear.
That is such a shame, I have had the exact same model for two years now and have had no issues at all, I had no idea there had been any issues with the bezel. I find mine is accurate to about 1 second a day, easily as accurate as my chronometer certified co-axial Seamaster I used to own. And that face is amazing in the daylight.
I am ex military and I used to own an early G10 with a mechanical movement. One aspect of the watch you did not rate was the fixed spring bars. The reason the MoD specified this is for the security of the watch, if a conventional spring bar broke free there is the chance you will lose your watch, that in conjunction with an issued NATO strap means there is almost zero chance that you will lose your watch. Great watch and review.
