Review Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SFJ005
Perfection… I don’t use that word lightly. I’m a car nerd too, and this is the best representation of what I love in an analog gauge cluster… see Porsche 911 for reference… so much better in person than in picture including the stock bracelet… in pictures the bracelet looks black but I person it’s way more tasteful. I just had to put it on a racing strap though… for me this watch is the culmination of a lot of my favorite parts of a great watch. 1 I love a watch to look vintage. 2 I want it to be highly legible, and easy to use. 3 I want to be able to run it in multiple configurations on different straps, & bracelets. Thus one ticks all the right boxes for me. this one will be accompanying me to a track day soon, and I will actually be using it! I have many chronographs, but this is one I can actually see myself using. If you want one of these you better hurry as it is a limited edition and I guarantee it will sell out fast… mark my words on this! I have never been compelled to write a Watch review before, but for this one I just had to. I got mine from the incredibly sweet couple who own the “Time Center” in Orange California. I get nearly all of my Citizen & Seiko watches from them and they are incredibly customer service oriented, and have a great selection of watches to choose from. They carry Casio, Timex, Seiko, Citizen, Bulova, Luminox, G-Shock & Others… go check them out. You won’t be sorry with this watch or the people you got it from with the nice folks. You have my word in this…

Not handling one in my greasy paws yet, my only reservation is I don't really want another solar watch. I really feel Seiko should have brought it with at least one kinetic option.
I am well aware kinetic is dead, but Seiko could bring it back. Why? Because they are Seiko and they can if they want to.

Great review l.You’re right,that’s a killer dash.Also the people at time center are really cool.Only person able to fix an old watch I had.

I haven’t seen a new Seiko Kinetic release in a long time.
I bought the Panda version on a steel strap just over a week ago and I absolutely love it and it is the most tactile watch I own and a joy to use and wear.
