The real reason I became a watch enthusiast.

Hello everyone,

I have some news from today I would like to share... but it comes with a story.

(It involves health issues, so if you are easily upset, you may want to skip this post 🫤 [there are NO graphic photos, so it should be ok]).

There are only a few people who know the real reason I got into this hobby. Everyone here has been so supportive and welcoming so I thought I would share with you guys now.

----PAST

-December of 2022 I checked into the hospital with severe stomach pain and shortness of breath. After some examination it was determined that I had liver failure 😳.

-The next couple of months are fairly blurry as I was treated (details are not pretty). A liver transplant is now the only way I will be able to live a "normal" life again.

-All of last year I fought for my life, with a ton of help from the nurses, Doctors, and my fiancé. ❤️‍🩹👨🏼‍⚕️👩🏼‍⚕️🧑🏼‍⚕️🥼💍

---- DISCOVERY

-During this time, laying in a hospital bed... I discovered the world of horology. I dove right into the YouTube channels and loved everything about it. How you can express yourself, the history, the movements, all of it fascinated me. ⌚⏱️👀

-My fiancé surprised me one night at the hospital. She brought her laptop so we could watch the Leafs in the playoffs. She also brought the Maple Leafs watch (pictured). The Leafs ended up winning their first playoff series in 19 years! 🇨🇦🥅

---- PRESENT

-As of TODAY, I have NOW QUALIFIED to receive a transplant!

-I AM extremely lucky to still be here and I can not thank the doctors, my family, my friends, and my community enough for all you have done for me.

THANK YOU EVERYONE! 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

Congratulations on achieving your qualification sir 👏🏻👏🏻

Focus on becoming “repaired” first and then seriously collecting watches!

Stay well 🙏🏻

Wishing you all the best!

I very recently lost someone I loved more than almost anyone else I know who many years ago decided to be a legacy donor.

That decision successfully extended the lives of several other people and I'll be updated in a year on their continued well being.

Your story of what happens on the other end is a poignant reminder of the positive impact one person can have.

Thanks for sharing!

·

Best of luck in receiving a donor!

Best to you in your health challenge. Sounds like you have a good partner and medical team to help.

Sending you positive vibes for a speedy recovery. ❤️🙏🏻

Great way to spend the "time" while healing and getting your life back to normal. God Bless. 🙏

Thanks for sharing tour story. Looking forward to your updates as you get what you need and begin to heal. Best wishes to you and your fiancée.

I hope you get well soon neighbor. I'm just a hop, skip and a jump away from you in Sandusky. I see your hat and the Cleveland Clinic is the best place for you to be getting treatment. The doctors are excellent. I hope you get the transplant soon. Keep on Crunchin on! It's a great positive site to be on.

Good luck!

Wishing you a speedy recovery! Hope it all goes well.

Fair play on putting that warning in there. That’s a classy move 👍
