๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ด OSLO SWAP MEET Experience!

Hello there!

This saturday, the 4th, me and two friends attended our first watch enthusiast meetup. This was in Oslo, and we all had a great time. Really got out of our shell mentally when talking to many different people about watches, collections and preferences! Kristian Haagen, the danish collector was there too.

Wanted to make this post to show a few photos of watches I managed to grab while there! ๐Ÿค‘

Let's start with my friend Tobias' (@toblerino) favourite; the Rolex Milgauss 116400!

A discontinued dial, sadly. Don't know what the owner would sell it for, but I don't have the money for it anyways. ๐Ÿ’ธ Thicker case than expected, but very nice to wear! Tobias tried it on two times.

Then we got to the vintage part of the room, and found this amazing Omega Constellation "Pie-Pan"; came with the original box and everything! Ever only had one owner.

Only about โ‚ฌ4000...

We also saw a ton of vintage watches, like old Longines models, Certinas, Enicars and Tissots. Here are some of them!

The fine gentlemen with the Milgauss wore this old Rolex Explorer II, didn't dare to ask what he wanted for this one either!

Love how it's not a GMT, but rather to show if it was day or night for those working who didn't see sunlight.

Of course we also saw a good old Speedy in the mix, this one being from 1991. Got a little bit of patina on the indices and it looks amazing!

Wonder when Tobias will buy this one ๐Ÿ’ธ

THEN... when talking to a guy with a small vintage collection, Tobias knocked and my shoulder and said "there's a Great White", and at first I didn't really understand what he meant, but then I saw it...

The Rolex Sea-Dweller 16660 "Triple Six".

(At least I think it is, it's not a Great White. Correct me if I'm wrong!)

It is one of my favourite watches. I ADORE the old Sea-Dwellers, the Double Red is my grail watch. This one is a distant relative. Talked to the guy who owns it for quite a while, as I just fell in love with it. It's from 1984, and he bought it last year in a vintage shop somewhere.

He offered it to me for โ‚ฌ17200... which I of course don't have. He then knocked off a fraction and would sell it to me for โ‚ฌ16300... which didn't really help.

I did ask if he wanted to trade it with my Vostok Amphibia, but he just laughed, sadly.

Just look at it, jesus.

It also has the spider dial, which has cracked up over time, making it look like a spider's web. Even better. So this is probably one I'm saving up for from now on.

Also got some super nice shots from MrLumeShot (check him out on Instagram). He got my scratched up Vostok looking good!

Here are photos of Tobias' TAG Heuer, and Ole's (my other friend) Longines!

Awesome experience, and would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Learnt a lot from other collectors and new microbrands as well. ๐Ÿป

There's nothing like seeing all those great watches in the flesh and of course meeting fellow enthusiasts. Glad you had a great time and I'm sure it won't be the only one you will attend. (Think that person with the sea dweller was a bit mean not to swap with you for your vostok).

It really was! Agree, he definitely should have made the swap ๐Ÿ˜œ
