Help me ID this vintage Certina

Hey there!

Bought this old Certina in january, and have had a few troubles with it so far; had to order a new balance wheel which took some time to find, but I got one after me and @toblerino searched a bit.

It works well now, just a tad bit fast. Anyways, I do not know the model name. What I know is this:

  • Model year: either ‘59 or ‘60

  • Movement: Certina 321

  • Case ref. number: 8946.1

  • Serial number: 3606795

Here are some more images:

It also sports plexiglass and is around 36mm in diameter. I’ve tried searching it up on the interwebs, but I can only find similar looking models with a different movement.

Anyone got any ideas?

These vintage Certina movements always look beautiful, I have a simple Certina with a 25-35 movement and I really love it.

I used the VintageCertinas website to identify the year of my watch, I recommend it to visit.

They sure are, love how it looks!

Idid check it the website, but only found one that kinda looked similar to mine. Tried to search more on Google based off of those on VintageCertinas, but to no avail.

Are there any other sites you can think of with an archive like this?

I think you should check #vintagecertina or tags like that on Instagram. Maybe you'll find a watch like yours.

But imo there is no specific modell name for this watch. Or you could use the name of a similar Certina with the same movement etc if that watch has one exact modell name. (But I'm not really an expert of this field so I'm just guessing.)

That I can do!

You may be right. Some of the other vintage Certinas I’ve found don’t have model names, so could be the same for this one. Thanks!
