The Citizen C7 has similar indices where the Antarctic has numerals and is way below 1K, but slightly above 40mm.

I do not yet, I am familiar with the brand. Makes very well finished watches - really reasonable prices for made in Germany. Think Sinn 10 years ago.

The brand is owned by Ickler, the German watch case manufacturer, so Archimede cases are in house. Long history in watch manufacturing.

I have been looking at the 1950-4 or the Klassik as a watch to pick up soon. I would like to own an Archimede as I have a good impression of the brand.

I have yes! They are a nice jeweler out in California. I called him. He said if you add it to the cart you will be given multiple options for shipping/charges. He said the box is large and heavy. If you are not keen on shipping the original box he said you could save about $100. He will ship to Switzerland though!

I definitely will! I was thinking to scratch the watch virus about getting a laco flieger quartz model just for fun and to wear while traveling. I also love junghans a lot! Especially the max bill as (besides watches of course 😅) I am quite the minimalist and it would complement my style.
