I've started collecting cheap vintage watches and this is a recent win. My understanding is that it's at minimum 15 years old and has been all over the world. I can't help but think it's a late 90s design though? Not sure. Anyway, I'll keep it for a long time to come. New battery and strap as in this picture and it's good to go!

Very fun find!
I think you might be off on the period though. It looks to me like a late eighties design that may have been produced through the early nineties. Just a guess though.
There should be a alpha-numeric 2 digit date code on the case back if it's 1985 or newer.
1980s for (almost certain). The late Seventies and even the early Nineties had some outlier designs like that. Did they make Indiglo in the late Seventies, I wonder?
That’s an interesting watch.

Was Timex putting their web addy on the case back that long ago?

That's super cool if so. The older the better! The indiglo is working absolutely flawlessly

That's awesome if so! I've added a rear case picture if it means anything to you 😄
The PP indicates 2006 manufacture.

Ah nice one. Not as old as first thought then but at least now I know! Thank you!

The dial says Indiglo. Indiglo did not come out until 1992. I was a big a Timex fan back then and I remember when Indiglo came out. It was added to most of their watches but the first was on the Ironman line if my memory is correct. So I would put this Expedition in the mid 90's. Very cool watch by the way.

The presence of the date code "PP" on the case back designates a Nov. 2006 date of manufacture.
