Seiko Prospex Antarctica Monster Save The Ocean

I stumbled across this model in my Instagram feed and was immediately drawn to it.

As an owner of another Prospex Save the ocean diver with a special edition dial, I couldn't say no to this one.

It looks and feels much better than the price would suggest, and a small portion of the cost helps to clean our oceans. What's not to like?

The model's nickname is the Happy feet Monster.

Congratulations.

This Seiko Monster and the Penguin mini Tuna are on my list next.

Copying Omega I see

The Seiko Save the Ocean series has existed for a few years. And this particular model was released in late 2021.

Omega just came up with similar blue dial models for their anniversary, if anything it's the other way around that Omega copied.

Plenty of Save the Ocean editions out there with some beautiful dials. The wish list is long 😂

I just got the MM200 save the ocean edition last month so nothing new for few months 😅

The anniversary editions this year

I respectfully disagree.

Firstly the 75th anniversary models are newer than this watch design.

Secondly, none of them are that close in case design or dial texture.

The closest comparison would be the ultra deep, but it's far bigger at 45.5mm, has 30 times the depth rating and the dial is a scale map of the Mariana trench.

Its a lovely watch and I've got my name down as an interested party, but I don't think it's ever going to be mistaken for a Seiko monster.

Yes. Part of the same release, iceberg/birch dials.

There is a Tuna version of this watch, just an FYI if you like Tuna’s better than Monsters.

I prefer the monster if I had to pick one, but the tuna's are nice 👍

I have a blue dial monster, but it is the srpd25. Monsters have that unique eye catching thing because of the concave bezel. My father wants to take mine away everytime he sees me wearing it

Wow that looks amazing!! 😍🤩

I love that dial and was going to pull the trigger but made the mistake of watching a couple of YouTube reviews which put me right off it. If it came up at the right price I think I'd still have to go for it.

My current fav divers atm!

I got mine from AMJ watches in the UK, £375 delivered.

I'm not that bothered about SC personally, but it would be nice. I'd prefer it not to have a 'cyclops' personally, but I can live with it.
