Goodbye Speedtimer
Yep, I searched and searched for a killer price on this watch. Finally found one and jumped on it.
I sized it, threw it on, and gazed in its glory. Shot my brother a few pics and the first thing he said was Seiko went down in quality.
He said there were complaints of the dial or hands being slightly off.
He was right!!! The seconds were all centered between their marks and the dial looked misaligned the tiniest bit.
I couldn’t let it go. Every time I wore it, I would stare at the dial.
New owner gave me what I paid and didn‘t care that the dial or the second hand was off.
I kinda feel like a weight has been pulled off of my chest.
Anyone else have these issue?
Shop owner, husband, and a father, always on a mission for a new watch.

could you not have just got a watch guy to re seat the diail ?

Probably, just bummed that it was new and like that. In the long and short, I’d rather not pull it apart or pay someone else too. I could’ve sent it in for warranty, but then it would’ve been pulled apart anyway, possibly just replaced. Anyway, I’m happy I don‘t have to look at it anymore.

Seiko's QC has really gone downhill... I've had similar dial misalignment issues with some divers

I can definitely say that I wasn’t a big fan of the date window.
