Can’t tell what your predicament here is other than the money and it sounds like you’re really on the fence.

I do this often too and seek advice in a way I can find an obvious answer to why I SHOULDNT make the purchase such as a list of cons and nitpicks about the watch. I’m really looking for people who’ve gone through a similar experience of wanting the watch at one point but came out the tunnel being an ultimate hater of the watch. Why did they become a hater? Don’t have too many opinions on the watch myself but Maybe a hater can shed some more light :)

@Kayone73 Amazing! What prompted you to get the green dial? Anything that surprised you about the dial color itself?

Thanks! He loves it! He thinks he's "done" with watch collecting now 😂

commented on Rolex sports watches. Is the bracelet a huge part of the appeal? ·

I'm a leather strap guy all the way but if the watch is made with the bracelet, I would only ever consider putting a strap on it if:
1. There's a strap option for the watch.
2. The bracelet is an afterthought for the watch - Think cheaper seiko watches and especially microbrands that do this often to cut on costs to focus more on the dial, case, movement, etc.

Haha similar tastes. My grail is the FPJ Chronometre Bleu, I love GS and I own an SB04. Hopefully an SB05 in the future :).

Another piece of advice that doesn't get mentioned often - I work leathercraft as a hobby and I strongly recommend looking for a maker and requesting a commission if you can put the effort into searching this way (I don't take commissions atm). The quality and finishing is much more detailed and luxurious. There's a subreddit for leathercraft with specialists on watch straps. IG is also a good place to search.
