Omega Speedie 38 vs Reduced

I've been really wanting to purchase the omega speedie reduced mainly because I imagine I would prefer it to the original 42mm case size - although still slim for a 42 and wearable, is slightly too large for my preference.

I've seen the new omega speedie 38mm coaxial in person and felt a bit disappointed at how small it is. I know the original reduced is specced at 39mm (which is my ideal size) but have heard it being reported by most reviews as a 38mm watch. Has anyone with both watches compared the two side by side and notice any size differences?

Have you tried the original Moonwatch on yet? It looks great on most wrists.

I have! I normally stay away from 42mm case sizes but it did fit quite well! Just a tad bit on the large side and hoping that the reduced would fit better as a daily wear..and cost :).

Roger! To me, the Reduced just doesn’t quite look right and I didn’t want to regret not getting the Original.

Looking forward to your purchase-day pictures!

I find the Speedy 38 is too thick for it’s diameter and just doesn’t look or feel right on my wrist.

On the other hand, the Speedy reduced feels terrific on my wrist.  It’s got a great vintage size and feel.  It’s my personal favourite Speedy.

I traded away my Speedy Pro.  It’s too big for me and I hate the tiny crown blocked by the pushers on something you have to wind every day.  I felt more frustration than joy.
