Hey Seiko Modders - Any Advice?

In an attempt to assemble a really nice Seiko 5, I transplanted a movement/dial from an SNXS79 into the case of a SNK393 and installed an Uncle Seiko bracelet. That turned out great! But, the leftover movement from the SNK393 doesn't fit in the SNXS79 case with the current spacer.

My local watchmaker scoffed at the idea of working on a Seiko 5 mod. And I'm not sure what parts need to be replaced and how to do it without damaging the SNK393 movement.

Does anyone with Seiko modding experience know what is needed to get this movement to fit? I haven't been able to find a specific tutorial or exact part needed for this.

Or any recommended modders in the US who would be willing to work on something this simple for a reasonable fee?

Thanks.

How about something like a rubber oring. Automotive orings come in all kinds of different sizes. Most are seemed around the top so if you're a steady hand you can half um.
