15% Spending Decrease Announcement

Dear Watch Industry,

First I'd like to thank you for being a loyal supplier of quality timepieces over the years. Although I've made every effort to keep pace with the ever increasing prices associated with purchasing your products, my household operating costs have increased significantly due to a variety of recent global factors.

This has led to the difficult decision to decrease my spending on watches by 15% across the board this year.

This change will take effect on the 1st of March 2024.

This spending decrease will allow me to better diversify my finances and become a more productive consumer. Thank you for your understanding and support.

You forgot to apologize for the potential hardship your decision may cause, as well as wishing the watch industry luck in its future endeavors.😁

Otherwise a great piece on how the market determines the price.

·

I believe I will follow you for 2024. Let’s see how that goes.

·

Maybe if we can convince everyone on the planet to boycott 'em for a few months they'll drop their prices. 😉👍🏻

Now just the small matter of persuading everyone else 🤣🤣

·

Yes - I’m hoping to follow you too.

But “the best laid plans of mice and men are aft to gang awry!”

“Everyday more lies”

·

I hope this is a joke. You should feel humbled and blessed to be given the opportunity to spend your money on those most equisite and exclusive timepieces made in extremely limited quantities of only several million per year!

Let's unionise! A global strike by watch nerds could bring this industry to its knees! We demand a lowering of prices back to 2007 levels, an end to the pin-and-collar system and the public flogging of Rolex ADs who mention purchase histories...

My Board of Directors has decided to eliminate this line item from the budget schedule for the remainder of the calendar year. This cut may be carried forward into subsequent years until the business climate returns to a consumer friendly state.

However, the Board reserves the right to reconsider this position if and/or when the capital projects budget is sufficiently refreshed to facilitate discretionary expenditures on further capital improvements.

Yes, my CEO has issues a hiring freeze until sales increase. I'll be changing straps for the remainder of the year to look productive.
