Breitling Premier B01 - is it maybe too big for my wrist?

They’re gorgeous. I think photos have watches looking bigger on the wrist than they really are. How did they feel?

In that photo it looks large (because it appears to close to the camera) but that doesn't mean it is in actuality.

Meh. Do you like it? Do you like the look of it on your wrist? Can you afford it? If the answer to all the questions is yes, buy it and rock that baby. There, that should answer your question. Remember, you do you, man.

As others mentioned, do you like it? That’s the main criteria.

Having said that, the B01 is basically all dial so will appear larger than other 42mm watches that have bezels (say, the Yachtmaster). Also, white dials tend to appear larger than black dials.

Anyway if it bothers you, try to take a picture of your wrist in a mirror—that gives a better sense of how large it appears on your wrist.

I think the size looks fine. Maybe toward the big end of what you can get away with, but my reaction to your photos isn’t “Wow, that looks too big,” it’s “Wow, that’s a nice watch.” For what it’s worth, my wrist is about the same size as yours and I rock a 42mm watch pretty regularly. 👍🏻

Look at the size of G Shocks and the like. They're huge. And yes, I know this isn't anything like that. But, it's quite common today. Me? I have a harder time with Men's micro-small watches. I saw a really little Cartier on a guy the other day. If it wasn't for the strap, it could've been a birth mark.

I think you might have to differentiate: Breitling is known for large, massive watches. Then a large watch might be more acceptable than a large watch from another brand that also makes smaller watches and is known for them

I'm getting my first G Shock ever for Christmas this year. With all their choices or options, someone had to pick it out. So, yes, I already know what it is. I strongly prefer 40mm '+' watches. But, I've never owned a Breitling. My only small pieces are vintage.

I‘d say yes, it’s a tad too big.

I have the same wrist size and that would be on the verge of being too big (I have an SBGA211 Snowflake which is my maximum size)

The more important question for a Chrono, for me, is how high it is… that is what decides it for me. That’s why I got the SFJ001 (a Solar Quartz Chrono).

They kind of are, but if it feels good to you, just go for it. My IWC chrono hangs over kinda like the pictures you took (wristshots on my profile), but it definitely didnmt stop me from buying it and wearing the hell out of it haha
