What is the details/part in a watch that you really like? I mean something very picky not the bezel or movement. For me it’s the chapter ring and it must be angular.
I found that it close the gap very well between the dial and the bezel. So much that it becomes mandatory for me. I don’t like to see the big flat stainless ring.
So what is you watch detail that you pretty much can’t live without?

AR coating!!
For me it’s I can’t have an overly large date window at the 3. I’d rather not have one or at the 4 or even better 6, but if it has one at 3 it has to be in keeping aesthetically with the 9. Maybe it’s OCD but I can’t have it

Good point and I totally agree 👍

Very true

Same here, much prefer a time only dial 👍🏻👍🏻
Not a must, but preferable: similar/same colored date wheel

Valid point and I like that as well
Exactly 👍

There isn’t a detail I can’t live without. I try to just appreciate a particular watch for what it is.
Bracelets options, applied hour markers, motif dials, and 12 hr totalizers on chronos
It's not a deal breaker for me but I do love a good chapter ring, guess that's why I'm always drawn to Seiko
I like applied shiny indexes and something special about the face like nice color, texture or sunburst. My greatest dislike are tiny dates. I have a 43mm watch with a tiny date to the left of the 3. Why didn’t they get rid of the 3 and put a larger date wheel in there that can be seen?
I don’t really have a thing that I have to have in all my watches (other than maybe non dress watches). But all my watches have something I really like that makes me hold on to them. If we’re talking specifics then I really like the green sheen given off by my Echo/Neutra
The text stating that it has a helium escape valve really appeals to me with my Epoch.
The segmentation of the minute hand on my Ollech & Wajs
The look of depth on my Formex Essence.
The way my Formex Field hugs my wrist.
Of course there are other things about all these watches that I love but those are some things that are very specific to those watches.

Right, Seiko have this part done really well

The vertical steel piece is the "rehaut" by the way

Thanks I didn’t know the exact name. I’m French Canadian so I have an excuse
What brand is the name of the first photo? It has an H logo.

Helm Komodo
Hands that look sharp as razors. It's the biggest reason I'm a sucker for dauphine hands.

Agree !

I was wondering what the difference between the rehaut and segmented chapter ring was. Apparently, not the same.
Preferraly to have at least the date number.
