Micro Brands-I have a few.

At one time I wasn't a fan until I bought one, er.... two,  I mean..... well you all know how it is.

Zoretto was my first I believe, about 4 years ago.

Very nice collection of microbrands you have there.

The only micro brand watches I currently have are from Zelos. I feel that they represent pretty decent value, and although neither get a lot of wrist time, I'm very pleased to have them in my collection.

Don't currently own any micros, save for a RZE Resolute that is going up for sale today. Love the idea but have yet to find one that stuck.

Very nice collection! I have been admiring micro brands, but never taken the plung until recently. My first purchase is actually on the way and it should arrive by next week.

I think microbrands are doing some great things and offering more value than the big brands in a lot of ways (maybe not resale on all of them). Biggest problem with the good ones is they sell out before you can enter your credit card information. However, I just placed an order for one of these (I am excited):

Are those both Swordfish models or is the 2nd a Mako?

I did an AliExpress experiment last year and bought 2 Steel Dives and a Addies Dive Type a Flieger . They were all solid watches. I gave one Steel Dive to a friend and the other was the victim of a mod gone wrong. I still have the Flieger and it actually gets the odd compliment from time to time.

The bronze is a Swordfish. The blue dial is the Horizons GMT II.

Never heard of Beaufort before. I just checked their web site - if the finishing is as good as the photos suggest, that looks like an awesome deal. I'd be interested in hearing your opinion of the watch after you've had some time with it.

I'll post on it once it arrives I watched a few YouTube reviews all positive so I'm hoping I agree with them.

You know my opinion of micros, Fog - I've always felt they're the answer to a question that nobody actually asked, but that's just me. However, I do understand why some fans gravitate to them.

I liked exactly two microbrands - and, as was easy to predict, one brand soared, the other kind of disappeared. I have two Dan Henry watches and have been impressed with the finishing and the overall quality. I also liked a watch by Mercer Watch Company that I picked up at a watch fair here in NYC; I long had my eyes on another of their watches, a diver, but the company had closed by the time I got around to pursuing it.

I've been a huge proponent of microbrands even prior to the crazy prices we are seeing today on mainstream brands.

I've got a Nodus (DLC Sector), Farer (Aldrich Worldtimer), Baltic (Blue Gilt Aquascaphe) and Serica (5303). You can check out the photos I've taken of them and my other pieces at my IG handle https://www.instagram.com/watchaddictwt/

Hopefully, Micros will serve the same economic function in the watch industry that they have served in the beer and spirits industry.  Thirty-five years ago there were essentially four beer brewing conglomerates in the United States and the beer was uniformly terrible.  Now there are thousands of brewers and the beer is the best in my lifetime.

I hope that they fill niches that are unseen by the large corporations and that the quality goes up.  (As an aside, I think that quality is rising in affordable brands:  whatever you may think of Timex, it keeps time.)

Can't believed I missed that GMT hand lol

I have a couple of Spinnakers, and a Straton. Like the micros very much. Marc Frankel who owns Long Island Watch Co has his line of Islander Watches. I have two of them and they are an incredible deal.

Nice collection. I've got a few too; a Vario Empire, an Axios Pathfinder (white dial) that's my latest buy, which I adore, and a Lilienthal chronograph on which I somehow completely scratched the sapphire crystal in the first month of owning it. If I'd had the money at the time, I'd certainly have gone for the Mandala from Second Hour too.

Some of the microbrands out there are producing some beautiful pieces, with outstanding value for the specs in particular.
