Wristwatches are more comfortable to wear on a war they said

Okay. I believe it's a matter of taste. I just think that aligned crown doesn't make any sense - to me personally. And I just don't want to pay for it.

There's a number of things I don't understand in modern watches. Transparent casebacks are usually useless - they make watch cases thicker, and if it's not A. Lange und Sohne or Minerva level of movement, there's no reason to see it. But I understand that it's my personal taste, and I'm happy that other people can enjoy seeing watch movements, despite the fact that I had to skip some interesting models because of this feature. Also I don't understand higher levels of finishing - again, if it's Grand Seiko, or some haute horologie brands, that's fine, people like it. But I just don't want to pay for it. At the same time surprisingly I'm okay to pay for a simple satin finish, even on a $7K+ watch. I just like it, it looks good and it's pretty much utilitarian.

I can continue, but I think the idea is clear.

Didn't even thought about crown alignment. As a big hater? (too strong word, I just dislike them) of transparent casebacks, I'd probably give up any brand that invest into such stuff.

you are not financing global terrorism by buying one

You don't know where this money go to.

more than you finance cartels by buying avocados

The production of counterfeits is prohibited in many countries, including China, thus you're funding crime anyway.

Congratulations! Enjoy the beautiful watch.

P.S. At first I thought it's a bottle of wine floating in outer space on a notebook's cover.

commented on How do I make sure a vintage watch contains no radioactive materials? ·

I'm sorry to tell, but first off, tritium paint by itself is quite safe compared to radium, and second - old tritium watches usually passed a period of decay (around 25 years), so the watch probably was not radioactive at all.

Radium is much more dangerous in the world of watches (whooping 3000+ years of decay).

Serious answer: if it's going to be a disposable watch again, then please don't make it (for obvious reasons). It's a fun watches, I'm glad that people like it, but it should not be an another threat for the nature.

If I dream a little, then I vote for Swatch-Breguet collaboration (and not just a pilot chronograph, something more rare and complicated). At least it sounds fun. Yeah, I know, it's almost impossible - but that's why it would be interesting and not boring.
