Would it be crazy to mod the hands on an ETA BB?
I have just started this hobby but I already know what my grail watch is. Well actually there are two: The ref 6538 Submariner and the Tudor BB One Only Watch. The red triangle, big crown, overall size, gilted dial, lollipop seconds...
The Rolex is rare but not unobtainable, but also so expensive it's practically unobtainable. The One Only Watch, well there is literally only 1. On top of that, I'm not a fan of mercedes or snowflake hour hands.
Let's say I was able to find or source a set of perfectly matching hands. Would I be crazy to buy an BB 79220n with an ETA movement, and then modify it with pencil style hands hour/minutes and a lollipop seconds?
Keep in mind, it's something that this mod would be totally reversible.

Definitely something I'd take to a professional. Unless I was super confident in my skills and equipment.

This hand set makes me actually like the BB, so I say go for it! The BB with snowflake hands just doesn’t appeal to me 😂🤷🏻♂️
