As once mentioned in a Watchfinder & Co. video, a personal assistant to follow me around all day and tell me the time upon my request. 😂 But seriously, I am thinking an A. Lange & Söhne 1815 series.
My thoughts are just as you stated. When I look at my watch I am only looking for a reasonably close estimate of the time, not pinpoint precision.
The watch I happen to be wearing today. For two reasons.
It is the most expensive watch I own, and thus would cost the most to replace with an identical watch, or at least as close as possible from the same brand.
My wife and I bought this and the equivalent women's watch when we got married. So it has sentimental meaning.
I second that advice! You will probably be inundated with YouTube videos, Instagram pictures, WatchCrunch, etc. and want to go buy all of the watches but take your time.
Similar to you, I also bought a watch to celebrate a new job. Not a promotion, but it was a significant salary milestone. Watches make great mementos of special moments in our lives.
