Looks great. I've tried to stop looking at watches like this as I'm afraid maintenance will cut into my watch buying budget too much. But man, it's hard as these are some great looking watches.

I had it in the shop on friday, movement looking great. Unfortantlly they tightend the back to much so the rotor currently is not spinning

Not sure how the over tightening of a case back would affect the movement. Vintage Ebay buys are a leap of faith.

Good luck.

Godspeed with the restoration. I have the newer 1022 caliber Geneve from my dad that I had to spend way too much money restoring. Having said that, your looks much better than mine to begin with - mine had the hands all rolling around inside, a terrible scratched crystal, and a messed up crown.

To be honest, the 1012/22 is not as highly regarded as the 565. and I clearly bough one in great condition to avoid that.

The movement was not perfectly fit, so one side was to near to the case back and locked the rotor.
