My husband just got this strap and I think he pulls it off really well - although it does have a very preppy, yacht club kind of look. Not my taste, but it works for other people.
Stripes can work, I guess. I have a NATO or two where white is a prominent color. But solid white really risks getting into (hold on, gotta look up Dangerfield's character in Caddy Shack) Al Czervik territory, like where are the plaid pants and white patent leather loafers?

White rubber on a blacked out watch looks NASA-Star Warsy awesome.
With fun orange or all white dials, a white strap looks 70-ish Skindiver fun, imo.
White watch bands (paired with a white watch) can look pretty jabroni/Jersey Shore-ish. 😂😎
I ll be scared if the band would be stained, as it happens with my casio grey oak (though it is stored in it s box)
Definitely in your face. Here's a couple I've tried on my PD. The racing style strap I'd definitely wear if I had the real Daytona.

I'm a fan of white rubber.
