I’m somewhat in the same boat. I’ll more than likely get a cheap $20 box at some point but for right now my collection sits in my glasses cases that I’ve acquired over the years from being practically blind lol

My Armitron Skeleton 42mm.. it was my first automatic and my first skeleton. I used to love the blue in it and that you could see the movement but it’s just not practical. The lume is really sad and it’s not nearly as legible as most of the others in my collection. It also feels like I’m wearing a brick, it’s just too heavy. My taste has also completely changed and I don’t really like the look of it anymore. I’d like to sell it but resale value is pitiful for these. I’ll probably give it away at some point

Interesting topic. I’d have to imagine that most people of our age group would agree with you (I’m 25) however, I actually love vintage everything. It’s personality and I don’t think it has as much to do with age as they say. I’m finding that the watches I’ve been picking up lately are older designs that are styled after watches made decades ago. Since this is a watch group and not a general discussion, I’ll save everyone the pain of reading all I have to say about how I love vintage clothes, cars, music, houses, appliances, and all that jazz. But it’s good to know what you like and enjoy

I don’t own one and don’t plan to buy one even though I have an iphone. Something about wearing a real watch has a special feeling about it and makes me feel more genuine as a person. It tells a lot more about my character than just wearing some average piece of technology that everyone else has. Call me primitive but that’s how I feel about it. Also, I don’t have to plug my automatic watch up before I go to bed every night but to each their own
