Choose my next watch!
Work points are in and it’s time to buy a new watch! Recently they’ve added Seikos to the store and it’s time to get the next affordable watch.
Previously I have purchased the G-Shock full metal square, Tissot PRX, G-Shock metal Casioak, G-Shock GW-2310, Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic.
In addition to a Speedmaster, Oris Aquis, and other watches, I currently own a Seiko Cocktail Time and Seiko Land Tortoise. I have no white dials.
Bottom line, I can get any of these watches for free. What should I choose?

Where it a choice, I would have picked “not another Seiko”. Instead, I went with the Samurai. My second choice would be the speed timer, but really any of them are good.
Except the Tuna, that’s just an ugly-ass watch. Yeah I said it. It’s ugly. And stupid. That shroud thingy is like the SMP He escape valve…unnecessary and unattractive. It’s the answer to a question that literally nobody was asking.

Thanks for the response. What free Watch would you select in the $500 range? I could get a G-Shock or Casio.
Try the Draken Kruger. Panda, titanium, screw down crown, comes with metal bracelet and strap, awesome lume dial.

I’ve got a Seiko Speedtimer and love it. I haven’t heard much in the way of negatives about it either.

You need some Tuna in your life....
I picked the King Samurai because even though I personally like the Speedtimer better, I think it’s too close to the Speedy. KS would give more diversity.
The dial of that Tuna is amazing in direct sunlight!
I've wanted a Samurai and a Turtle for years, and always end up getting distracted, hence my Tuna. And Monster. And Mini Turtle. And Alpinist!
I'd go for one of the new Slim Turtles, a "limited edition" one they do with a white textured dial that's very Grand Seiko. Bit pricier but worth it imho. Wait & get one used.

I can get the options above for free. New release limited editions aren’t available in the online store nor are used models.
Well, the Soeedtimer is no longer available, so I bought the Samurai. Maybe it will be available next time around.
