Skagen, because... why the hell not?

I own some JLCs and Cartiers...
There, I've started this post with this statement- sadly - as if I needed to justify why I am wearing this cheap watch, as if I were embarrassed by it.

I found my old Skagen quartz watch which according to lore and watch experts is absolute rubbish.

Also, according to some people, it shouldn't be working after one year but in truth it's been working reliably for about 10 years; since I bought it.

It's very thin and supposedly titanium. I don't wear it much as I've started my watch collection with the serious pieces and I am exploring those but I still find it beautiful, with its blue-cobaltish coloured dial.

All right then, have a good one!

Hey man, if you like it, then you do you.  That's what all this is about, isn't it?

Exactly!

Bought this when I was young and had no money. Knew nothing about watches other than I liked them and I loved it. Still works, still have love for it.

I had a number of Skagen watches before I was a serious watch guy (though that evolution is debatable 😂). I remember liking how thin and comfortable they were to wear, plus had some nice dial designs. I am positive I have a couple knocking around in a drawer somewhere 🤙

A small or thin case can forgive many sins, but I'm not sure what is offensive here. It's a fairly modern look, I guess, but the design is clearly aging very well.

Hah, I used to have one just like that, but I stopped wearing it after the wristband broke. It looked nice, though.

It's on its way out. Can't wear it for that reason. Could replace for £40 but not worth it.

Yeah, that was my decision, also. Since it was a non-standard strap, it really didn't make much sense. The watch looked good, and was very comfortable to wear.

Its a nice dress watch.
