We actually talk about the Kinetic watches pretty often on the Tuesday and Sunday live streams. Patrick at @PocketWatchTime owns one. The issue mainly is that they are costly to have the capacitors serviced if you have an issue. Also the capacitors only last 10 years max is my understanding, most people don't bother getting them serviced or know Seiko still will do it. Here is a photo I took at the Seiko Museum in Ginza Tokyo of their Kinetic section earlier this year.

Waiting on mine, preordered in June. I’m wondering if they are struggling to sell the second round? June sold out much faster I think?

Cheers, I will be working on the follow up for the quartz one. I also need to be on here more! Seems like this has really grown into a good community since me registering.

Hi @Tikkaspecial thanks for posting this, I'm never sure if I should be posting my videos on here. I'm amazed at how this has grown. Happy to answer any questions about the the upload or about the watch!

I think the Spinnaker Bradner carbon dial would be a good contender. Has lume powder compressed into the forged carbon wafer for the dial!

This is such a great topic. As a few others have mentioned... this is an easy one for me also.

I won't include any I have been sent in for review that I didn't like, only the one I paid full price for and regretted every second of it. The watch was the Squale 500 Meter Ombre Blue Dial #1521-PROFD.

I bought into the hype and history of this brand and wanted to give it a go. I had owned a GMT before and loved it. With this watch, I wanted to go with a unique design as the GMT bore a passing resemblance to a Rolex Sub.

The issue is, that the watch has a very thick sapphire and accompanying bezel to accommodate it. Its so poorly weighted on the wrist that it hangs off like a ton weight. The sapphire causes the watch to lurch forward causing the case to dig into your wrist. The opposite of a Seiko Turtle that is so well weighted that you don't notice its larger size, as the centre of gravity is towards the back of the watch, not the crystal. I even tried it on their Mesh and that was even worse. One of the few watches I ever truly regretted buying. I have regularly worn heavier watches like the Breitling B1 but again that is so well proportioned. Sold it as soon as I could... and as a fringe benefit I didn't have to worry about how to say the name out loud 😂
