The reason why I've stopped buying watches

To cut a long story short, I'm more interested in collecting gritty (mostly British) gangster/hooligan movies. Of course, I still check every frame for any interesting watches that might show up. ๐Ÿ˜‰

In fact, I've just bought 3 more DVDs from eBay because they are dirt cheap nowadays, and there are bound to be watches somewhere in them:

I can't abide Guy Ritchie films, so there are none of those in my collection, and American mafia type films are too slick and slimy for my tastes. I like my entertainment to be more "real" and relatable. Proper "man-cave" stuff all the way!

What movies do you collect?

And have you ever bought a watch because you saw a movie character wearing it?

Cheaper hobby than watches certainlyโ€ฆBy coincidence I watched a few low budget British โ€œgangsterโ€ movies recently We still kill the old way ,We still steal the old way and Renegades all with Ian Ogilvy and familiar faces from uk tv โ€ฆ.i give up on renegades as it was basically the same as We still killโ€ฆโ€ฆall a bit corny .

Layer Cake is a great film. I had Xmas dinner a few years ago in Brick Lane - curry - and Kenneth Cranham was on the next table, he looks as craggy and scary IRL as in the film LOL. Nice man BTW.

Quadrophenia is another great film. "You've killed me scooter!" ๐Ÿ˜„

I remember Layer Cake. Interesting film.

The Business and Sexy Beast are 2 of my favorites. Check out This is England, Dead Man's Shoes and Sightseers if you haven't seen them already.

Yeah, I've got This is England and the sequels, but I haven't seen the other 2 yet. I'll definitely watch Dead Man's Shoes since I've been on a bit of a soldier roll with those Chris Hemsworth "Extraction" films recently too.

I am a sucker for dog films. You know boy finds dog, boy loses dog and he finds it again, with a few pantomime villains thrown in.

Ah, Shallow Grave and Trainspotting are some of my favorites -- Ewan McGregor and surprise twists at the end of both movies - Perfect! ๐Ÿ‘

Before we went digital we had over 1000 CD's. Loved the British gangster types as well just about everything else. I could easily talk about films more than watches. ๐Ÿ‘

The reason why I've stopped buying watches

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ "stopped"

Hours later:

My Ohsen 2202 arrived!

ON TOPIC: I have never purchased a watch because a movie character had it.
