Good morning watch friends. ๐
So, in recent months I have found myself only really wearing 2 watches, my #seiko Arnie and my #tudor FXD. I love other watches but see myself going for those each time, I try and mix it up with the others for the #wruw daily photo, but I then go back to those two watches, Iโm definitely not snobby but I just want to wear those. So, the last couple of weeks Iโve actually sold 10 watches that just donโt get the wrist time. Iโve also found myself not wanting anything new, does this mean I am H A P P Y!
I now have around 15 watches, most are ones Iโll wear, or have sentimental attachment to, there are possibly 4/5 others I might get rid of, there arenโt worth the hassle of selling though, so I might look at give them away on here.
Does anyone else share this predicament? Itโs a weird feeling because as I was purchasing/chasing the watches I loved the buzz, then when I got the Seiko and Tudor that itch stopped.
Donโt get me wrong, I would love a Doxa, a Hamilton Murph, a Seiko Presage, and a few other brands I love, but the glow has disappeared for now at least.
So I currently have the Casio #watchjourney2023 travel watch, that has amazing memories and Iโd never part with it, thank you to all involved.
I have my Casio Royale, a present from my kids for fatherโs day. โค
I have my bargain Steeldive which I just canโt part with, I love wearing that watch and for ยฃ69 there would be no point selling it.
I have my SevenFriday a 40th birthday gift from my wife. โค
I have my Davosa Ternos Ceramic.
There are 2 Casio GSHOCKS which I am humming and aarring at the DW290 โMission Impossibleโ and my 5900. I just donโt wear them, but to sell them Iโd get next to nothing for them. Dilemma. ๐คฏ
My F-91W which is a joint birthday present with my 9-year-old son, so another Iโm keeping. โค
I also have my grandads Seiko which is a keeper!
I have my Garmin which Iโll keep to track โcoughsโ fitness! ๐
An old Accurist of my dadโs, needs a battery and Iโd keep that.
And my Casio retro calculator watch.
So plenty to go at and a few Iโve cleared I donโt mind that they have gone, maybe keep the Casioโs and were them as beaters (although I hate beating watches) my metal/steel keep for best/work and the Seiko and Tudor keep for best.
Thank you Ben

I feel the same as you! I wear my SSK019 and my Lineage Ana/digi mainly. My first Casio the DBC63 gets no wrist time and others too. I think itโs pointless to collect of you donโt use it and best number of watches is 3-5
Me too. Is this all part of "the journey"... to collect lots of watches, then reduce them to a manageable number?
I have five left. Ironically, my SKX007, the watch that started it all, is still my favourite. Within a year or two I may only have the SKX left. Perhaps the true watch connoisseur has no watches left at all. ๐

I had the SKX and sold it, one I wish Iโd kept!
You may have reached Watch Nirvana. May we all be so fortunate one day. ๐
Honestly, I have been thinking the same recently. Windup Watch Fair just passed and while there were certainly stunning watches all around, I didn't feel the "I must have it now". It might be because I just came back from Japan with a couple of bangers that's keeping my full attention right now as well.

Were they the Omega and the GS?
Were they the Omega and the GS?
Yep
I have 16 watches. I have my core 3 watches that I wear the majority of the time. The remaining 13 get sprinkled in here and there when I want to switch things up. Itโs totally fine to have watches you never or rarely wear.
Not counting gifts received, I currently have ten watches. Have one arriving Friday from Thailand and two pre-ordered for later this year.
Primarily I wear my Sinn 556 IB and my Traska Summiteer 36.
If I could nail down three of the remaining 8 that I preferred, could take it down to five watches. But of those 8, I love them all equally. For now.
