Mido Commander Fade
I discovered these while chasing vintage Midos and Rados. This is a new watch made to vintage specs by the original manufacturer.
A key update was the 80 hour power reserve (powermatic 80).
This thing looks straight out of the late 50s and early 60s! And it wears like silk.
Look at that sunray dial! I wish the camera could capture the depth it actually has. And that acrylic crystal just looks so glossy! I love it.
Any other Mido lovers out there?

I have been chasing the vintage Midos for quite some time as well!
These are really continuations of production as essentialy every detail is the same as the “vintage” pieces. With the exception of the movement which is quite the upgrade.
I also have a gold pvd version I will probably post tomorrow.

Is it the same movement as the Tissot? I love Mido and Rado. This Captain Cook was a pleasure to see in person. It’s luster is better than almost any diver under 5k. Maybe too shiny? Red Rado below

Yes! Mido, Rado, Tissot are all part of the same group and thus all share movements. They call them different things, but essentially the same thing.
I have the blue Capt Cook in 37mm. It’s a lovely piece! And dead accurate. I’ll post it in the future.
