Tough choice GS if you are thinking more of a everyday piece, but I would go Longines for more of a dress piece. I was looking at the Longines in the Salmon color yesterday and it was just stunning.
These 2 brands have a long list of achievements in the watchmaking world and are known to produce high quality pieces that are attainable. Each has its strengths and weaknesses but then again no watch is perfect. So I grabbed both 😬

It's a tough choice right enough 😉
It’s the grand seiko for me. But that Longines is pretty sharp too.
The shunbun dial is gorgeous, id pick that one in a heartbeat
The Longines. The GS doesn't have the value proposition for more than double the cost.
Longines for me even if the small seconds bites the 7.
I am a fan of both. I’d go with the GS because of the dial and movement. Would put it on a leather strap straightaway

Imo it does

The GS is my favorite of the two, but to play it safe, I’d get both.
