Smile on my face
My latest here.. Was missing a chrono in the stable and went to one of my favorite shops looking to try on a Sekonia as I was pretty set on a quartz this time. My guy..who has been turning me on to watches for at least the last 4-5 years showed me the Seiko and then said to me..”that watch is not yours..this one is”. I knew of the LP and its story and liked it ..but sometimes if you hear something over and over.. it becomes self fulfilling..I didn’t even try it on as it was beautiful but “too big”. Left with nothing but came back about a week later and tried it on..then it clicked. It is a big watch..not an oversized watch.. by design. Then i got it home..took the excellent bracelet off and put the nato on..liked it even better as it felt more “tool watch”…and then I started looking, really looking and wow..all the details started jumping off the dial..Puts a cheesy grin on my face every time i put it on. Bulova hit a moonshot 😏 with this one - forgive me for it..the cheese is spilling over 🤣

It’s understandable that we get wrapped up in watch size, but sometimes that doesn’t make sense. With tiny sundials, I think a chrono should be as big as possible (within reason). Obviously “within reason” will be different for everyone. But to me 42mm is the outer edge of what I can see wearing, but I think it’s a great size for a chrono. So maybe it looks big, but that’s part of the point, it’s easier to read that way.
Whatever, you enjoy it so it’s the right size for you.
Your comment of Large, not Oversized is bang on. Plus the 262khz sweep is awesome. The MP QC is excellent and is always a joy to wear, + it's a strap and bracelet monster
Love it when a watch does "something" for me. Happens every once in a while where you just feel the connection and it fits, right!
