Seiko Presage Fuyugeshiki *Limited Edition*

Hi guys, I know very little when it comes to Seiko's limited edition watches. But I'm interested in what do you guys think?

Real nice. Doesn’t look like anything I saw from Seiko. I like the date dial and the power reserve doesn’t mess up the dial. No lume though

·

It is a good looking watch, albeit slightly busy dial. Looks like they can be had a reasonable price and it is a nice way to get a snowflake like look without snowflake like money. It is a little chunky, but that is me. In normal Seiko fashion they consider limited to 7000 pieces, which I am going to guess there is no way they sell even half of that.

PS, keep up the good work on the channel.

awesome watch, never seen it before

·

Hard to go wrong with Seiko Presage

·

Looks good to me, and I don’t even hate that power meter.

·

Nice textured dial! The Seiko is really raising the profile (along with the prices 😭) of the Presage line.

·

First thought is, it looks great and I love it. Second thought, that power dial having a quite similar hand to the second hand maybe could cause a bit of unnecessary confusion. But at the right price, I would definitely be tempted to buy this.

I guess the other question would be, is there a risk of this suffering from the recent QC problems with Seiko watches? I'd want to look at it close up and check that, for example, the second hand hits its markers before actually buying it.

Seiko has unlimited limited editions. If you intend to get it, get it because you like it, not because it’s “limited”. Lovely dial.

·

I love the Presage line with power reserve, but be aware that it is much thicker than other Presage models. So you'd better see one in the store in case that might be a deal breaker.

·

The dial is a tad too busy for a dress watch for my tastes, but the texture, indices and handset are gorgeous.

thanks for the input, yeah, i like the PR too, but am fine with no lume, since it's a dress watch

thank you for the input! Funny thing about the whole limited edition is, I can't seemed to find any in stores, except in used markets. And I'm not sure if the price has gone up

That is part of the game I imagine. Seiko release them, dealers either sell out, or cannot sell them and then unload them to grays at a steep discount. In this case, I believe it was released in 2018, which means little chance of it being around in most stores. I would set up a bunch of alerts on watchrecon, eBay, etc for SSA385J1, and hopefully one pops.

One of the most beautiful #seiko 😍 with sub second and power reserve feature is awesome

I have Baby Grand Seiko, it is almost like GS Snowflake with not to accurate movement. It is quite difficult to get.
