The Workhorse: Tudor Black Bay Pro Review

Having had this watch for 4 months now I must say I love it more and more each day. I’ve got an explorer 2 from 1991, a polar and black dial 2022 and yet I find this guy amazing.

Even holding the OG Steve McQueen, I find this to be the best mix of old and new. Yes it can be a bit chunky but for my wrist it fits perfect. When I feel the need for the GMT functionality and not the flash of the Rolexes this is my go to watch. Sometimes you just need a watch that looks the part but without the frills.

Pros: it’s COSC certified, it’s got the Tudor standard, it has a perfect GMT function and it looks like it’s from the past.

Cons: if there’s one thing the Rolex has its bracelets down to perfection. Even with the updated micro adjustments etc. It is a nail catcher when trying to open. If not of this issue it’s perfect.

I wore this over a month and still love it. It’s a true workhorse. If you want true GMT with the tribute to the past and an awesome modern day movement with the waterproof standards and not having to worry about scratches etc. this is the perfect watch.

As Covid measures have eased and we are back to traveling it’s awesome to know you can adjust the function and remember home. Furthermore, when we travel I tend not to use my Rolex as: it attracts too much attention, it’s common and I makes me think too much.

Somehow, traveling with a tried and tested workhorse is all you need. If you are thinking about it, try it on. It’s worth a go.

Just the head is 86g. Not sure about the bracelet option you will choose.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s a great watch to wear and look at. I’ve had it less than a month but I already know this will be a keeper long term.

Day 10 of ownership for me and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I haven't had to use the crown in a week, trying to see if it's running fast or slow, but it's still running bang on🥺🥰

·

Love that you didn't put thickness as an issue, but we all know it really isn't. I have nothing but pure love for mine.

It was never an issue. The BB line has always been the same. If you compare to Rolex (not fair) then okay.

I love Tudor, but thickness is an issue for me, both in how it wears and how it looks.

·

That one grows on me more and more. Good chance it will be my 3rd Tudor at some point in the future

I got this watch pretty much when it was released. Its a great piece and rock solid in every aspect. 👌

The AD called the other day, I went to see it yesterday… I wanted to, I really did…… Just didn’t like it at all. I think it was the indices. If it had 12-3-6-9 it might have been a trigger pull. That’s why you should alway view the watch 👍

Smart, you gotta love it to drop your dough.

Had mine going on 6 months now absolutely love it keeps great time to and no date issue at all . Glad I got a Tudor and not another Rolex with all the problems they are having with the new movement . 3rd Tudor now and all impeccable

·

Would love to have one if not as thick as it is.. Bummer to be honest because very good looking watch.

·

I love the 39-mm diameter of the watch but one downside is that the Tudor is fairly thick at 14.6 mm, not ideal for small wrist people like myself. Comparing to the 12.5 mm of the current Explorer II, but larger in diameter, a lot to "think about". I always thought if you have either, you won't go for the other but looks like I'm wrong! Thanks for sharing this review!

I plan on enjoying my BB Pro for many years to come. Thanks for the review!

I find myself constantly dropping by the Tudor store and dreaming about the BB Pro. Someday I’ll be the proud owner of one!
