How can you make a Bambino more casual?

Hey everyone!

I recently bought this Orient Bambino 38mm and it’s fantastic. However, I want to dress it down somehow so I was thinking of changing the strap.

What would you recommend? Anyone with the same watch that can relate?

Thanks!!

I tried a decent rubber strap and it just didn’t work for me.

I did buy a bracelet and it looks great, but that’s not necessarily dressing it down.

I’d try a cool nato strap that fits your style, if people are putting natos on Rolex and Omega watches you can do it with a Bambino.

To dress down, I’d try something like fabric straps. I like NATO straps but not sure how casual it would look.

Wear more casual clothes?

Throw it on a less dressy leather strap, maybe something light brown with vintage stitching, and wear it with casual clothes like a normal t shirt. Noone will know its a dress watch.

·

NATO strap, the “ath-lesiure” of the watch world

·

Sailcloth

·

Vintage suede strap. Sailcloth. Nato. Denim.

·

Definitely suede

A colorful strap, orange, light blue, or green.

·

Canvas strap.

·

Tan leather strap with white rope stitching. It should tone the dressiness down and make it feel like more of a daily

·

You can try a milanese mesh band.

·

I've been seeing a lot of sail cloth bands on WC lately and they come in every color imaginable. Maybe swap in a pastel blue band

·

A two piece perlon strap 👌

·

NATO or single pass.

With your version, go for a light brown, cognac, or tan leather strap. I'm in a similar boat now. I made mine dressier for formal occasions with a full rose gold case, but now it's even harder to dress down.

Black is way too formal now:

But now lighter alligator brings it back down to dressy:

I don't think I can go full casual anymore, but I can go business casual.

Straight!

Maybe try to put it on a Nato or a beat up suede strap?
