Stockholm Meetup
@Matt84 and I has come to the conclusion that it’s time to meet and to arrange a WatchCrunch meetup in Stockholm. October 14th is the day of ”Stockholm time - Watches of Scandinavia” and we saw this as a perfect time to make this happen.
The program is as follows:
15.00 Meetup at ”Stampen”, Stora Gråmunkegränd 7
16.00 Visit to Stockholm - Time (evening ticket purchased separately)
19.30 Dinner at ”Ristorante Rodolfino”, Stora Nygatan 1
Take the chance to meet fellow crunchers for watches, food and drinks in whatever priority order you prefer. If you aren’t able to participate the full program is cherry picking of course OK. This will happen and it would be fantastic if you can join. If you have suggestions on facilities for the program drop them in the comments.
Stockholm time is a watch fair with representation from interesting brands from the whole of Scandinavia (see link below) held at Riddarholmen close by Gamla Stan.

For fun, checked brands at the show - and didn’t know any. It seems they are all Scandinavian ones? … except “Nezumi” which is Japanese word for ‘rat’
Seems odd brand name, Is nezumi also a Scandinavian word with cooler sounding meaning?

Haha, not that I know of. They maybe just had bad luck thinking. We have a mineral water company here with a name that in our neighbuoring country translate to muddy water.
Yes Scandinavian is the theme. So the brands are from Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.
Matt and I don’t expect any Canadian representation initially but it had been great to see you show up. But maybe someone from our Scandinavian neighbours can manage.

”The name Nezumi came from a book David read as a child about a Japanese ”Robin Hood” called Nezumi Kozo whom stole from the rich samurai and gave to the poor. We at Nezumi Studios support numerous charities, hence the name.”

Chinese made watches often use Japanese names (or Italian, or German, or Swiss), being sneaky, but sounds like a nicer backstory for this one

It crushes me to say, but due to recent health problems (a heart attack) in the family I will not be able to attend after all. I need to visit my home town a few days, and help out.
Meeting you crunchers was something I had been looking forward to for months, so yeah, this sucks in so many ways. This was supposed to be my first chance to meet fellow watch geeks IRL. Thank you, @YourIntruder, for the opportunity and for all your planning and hard work. I hope all you who can attend will have a great time!
