Anyone else like the Trench Watch style?

It's a great,versatile watch and a great company to buy from. The enamel dials are mesmerising. I have the gray dial/white lume and 3 different straps.

@Yost_to_Coast Yes - I’ve had the Empire Seasons handwound for just over a year now. Really happy with it. Ivan and Judy have come up with some great designs and their customer service has been fantastic. I highly recommend their watches and their straps. What was your experience like?

I had the same experience you did. Great customer service, was emailed with updates along the way including pictures. Very happy with the whole process. Will definitely buy from them again!

no experience with vario. but i really like the vario trench watch, truly unique indices👍. 

I keep seeing these, and I want one!

I’m kind of a WWI nut, and my grail of grails is a war-worn Rolex or Omega trench watch circa 1917.

The Vario trench always calls to me. I have come so close, so many times...

I love Vario - great watches. Ivan and Judy are really cool. I subscribed for the complete set when they launched the Trench watch project. 

I love the vintage trench watches as well. Stan Czubernat does amazing work restoring vintage WWI trench watches and has written two great books on Waltham and Elgin. Hoping that Ivan eventually gets the crystal guard done - I bugged him about trying to get some made for the Varios.

I have a Vario Empire and I love the 1918 - if I hadn't only just bought a watch when they came out, I'd have probably gone for one of those too. I think they're a great company and always look forward to new releases - great straps too.

I have no idea why, but I keep coming back to this watch. Not this one, but a different specd and I can’t figure out why I like it so much. I don’t have any military interests or connections. Yet I’m very drawn to this aesthetic over and over, but then again I also keep coming back to my hang up on the fixed lugs. 

Are you a strap swapper on your other watches? Do you know the need to match the strap however you see fit? I don’t want to lose that on this watch. So I keep hemming and hawing about it, wondering if I can get over only having single pass natos or the stock straps. Or if I can just get over myself and stick with only the provided straps for the life of the watch?

I too just like they aesthetic and ultimately why I bought it. I don't really swap straps but I will if I feel the need to. I won't on this one in particular unless it's for another bund strap because I really like the look of it..

I just got a black strap so looking forward to mixing the green and black strap parts. Thinking Black Bund pad, Green straps w/ black loops & screws
