Refreshed CW Moonphase (Moonglow)

Surprise refresh from Christopher Ward?

This version takes care of the legibility issues (if that really was an issue for you)

Thoughts?

I think this version is gorgeous

Yeah. If I didn’t already have a Bel Canto on order.

This one may be my 3rd CW. But may have to wait until 2025 (unless I can “make room” for it by unloading a piece or two)

It’s a lot of money. They are filling a gap that’s been vacated by omega and tag upping their prices. I think the CW prices are getting out of hand. I hear Bremont are going to enter the sub £3k market, I think CW might have to rethink their prices.

I prefer the original. The 31 day bezel is a bad addition and wrecks an otherwise beautiful watch, imho.

I think that’s why they have kept the original moon phase. Some people want it for the aesthetic, and I’ve handled it, and it’s a beautiful watch. But the main complaint was legibility, which I think this was made to solve for that group.

I disagree. I think watch prices are going up anyway. And they’ve only really moved into that space with their specialty watches.

They still make some pretty good solid watches at around US$1000

My new Dune GMT was in that range and I think is priced right

Looking forward to seeing CW again at Intersect Atlanta next weekend.

Hoping so 🤞🏻

I had to restrain myself from the preorder button. I really like it! I do feel I won’t give it the wrist time it deserves though. Still a great looking time piece

·

Classy and gorgeous. I do think it looks better this way.
