My last watch ever?!

My endgame piece and maybe the last watch I own one day.

Felipe Pikullik:

When I first came across Felipe's Instagram channel, he was still making watches in his own apartment and selling them for a ridiculous €900... Not even doing justice to his workload back then...

But that's part of his success story!

When I saw Felipe's work, I was immediately enthusiastic. A very young, talented watchmaker who lives with a passion for the art of watchmaking. After completing his training, Felipe worked for Kudoke and Rolf Lang and learned from masters but also acquired a great deal of knowledge himself through old watchmaking books.

What impressed me the most is the way Felipe finished his watches. He used all traditional watchmaking machinery, ensuring the preservation of the true watchmaker as it was known hundreds of years ago. From pins to chapter rings to gears, Felipe makes everything himself.

ETA and Unitas serve as movement architecture. Felipe saws the plates himself, skeletonize and finish them. The product is a movement that is more reliable than 80% of the industry with a finesse that would make Patek envious...

Now to my watch: It took almost a year before I could hold my watch in my hands. A watch that is so personal to me that I am 100% certain that I will never own a "better" watch ever again. A watch discussed with the watchmaker personally.

Felipe Pikullik unique piece 1/1:

Movement:

manual winding ETA/peseux 7001

21600 A/h

Power reserve 44 hours

Case:

38.5mm case

7.5mm high

20mm lug width

47mm lug to lug

Finishing:

Frosting and perlage on plates

hand engraving

Anglage

Heat Blued Screws

Ratchet wheel snailing

Sandblasted dial

Handcrafted Hands and chaper ring with handcrafted pins!

Diamond at 6 o'clock between the lugs

I cannot describe how proud I am of the watch and how much I thank Felipe.

This watch is pure high horology and simply art. I mean just look at the photos...

Thank you🙏

Yes, he became a kind of a living legend.

But are you sure that he is still charging only 900? My information is, that his cheapest model costs now at least 2K or even more.

The 900 Euro price was two years ago as I know.

Great way to go out if that’s what you want to do.

crazy value🔥

Beautiful work ….

·

Not my style but can appreciate the work and value. Mindblowing how this can be done for 900€ or even 2.000€ without making a loss. This price point puts many high end watchmakers with hand finishing work done into different perspective

He was losing money like crazy, which is why he has massively increased his prices now that he’s built a great reputation for himself. It’s smart business.

·

This is why I love the watch community and am thankful for watch crunch.

Introducing me to brands I would've never found myself. Amazing watches.

That is smart, with no overhead costs he could take this approach and lost money on short term for long term benefits. What is now "realistic" pricing on these?

·

Very impressive workmanship. I came across him about 2 years ago as well - the styling doesn't speak to me but I admire his abilities nonetheless

·

What a watch to own! A proud addition to any collection and a treasure to pass down.

·

While I may never be able to afford one of these watches, it is comforting to know that skills like this are being preserved.
