That's one of the biggest reasons I got in to watch collecting, attaching memories with my family to them and one day passing them down, congratulations!
Congrats! I will never forget the early morning hour that our first daughter came into the world was the coldest Dec 28 here in Toronto for 40 years. The watch that was on my wrist now belongs to her mom but a few years ago on the occasion of her 30th birthday, weeks before international borders would be closed due to a global pandemic she casually announced to her mom and me that she had resigned her upwardly mobile gig in finance to fly to Kenya for safari with a high school buddy assigned there by the Canadian civil service. I had prepared a Breitling Chronomat that she and I shopped together when she was still in elementary school for her birthday, made her promise to return safely with our shared watch. Watches really do not matter without the human connections to events and memories.
My kids pick the watch I wear each day. *Be sure to disable your Location Settings before posting watch shots* …yeah I’m the guy who had 90+ watches stolen.

Right now there is a Scissors collector absolutely losing their mind that the Scissors weren't kept.
All kidding aside, Congratulations!
Will do the same this upcoming June.
Still looking for THE watch to wear that day for the very first time…
