Seiko SARB035

Timing is not everything -

Back in the day, when the Citizen Tsuyosa only went by the name „NJ0150“ and was this captivating, under-the-radar JDM gem, I seized the opportunity and snagged the green dial version straight from Japan. It was an exclusive find, not gracing any other corner of the globe at that time. Little did I know about the incredible journey this watch was about to embark on. As time unfolded, the Tsuyosa burst into the limelight, becoming a global sensation with its diverse color palette, embraced by enthusiasts worldwide. I felt like I was one of the few first special guests at that party, feeling that it will be a great party.

A few weeks back, the opposite happened. I found myself caught in a time warp, hitting the „purchase“ button for a watch that everybody was already talking about. This versatile Seiko SARB035. Now, let me tell you, it was like stumbling into a party after everyone had already raved about it, high-fived, and moved on to the next big thing. It’s the kind of watch that doesn’t just tell time; it tells a story, and I’m thrilled to be the next chapter in its epic tale. The trend is gone, long live the soul.

As I said before: timing is not everything.

Stunning watch👌The SARB035 joined my watchbox quite early. I never get tired of it. It has kept me away from GS up til now at least. I never felt motivated to buy one with the SARB on my wrist. Sooner or later I will get myself a Spring Drive but it’s no rush.

Fantastic choice. The SARB line was Seiko's best.

Here's my 033 on an Uncle President-style bracelet.

Thanks! I enjoyed my Seiko 5 with the 7S26 with different dial colors. But the lack of quality of these old gems was something that didn‘t gave me the chance to experience Seiko to the fullest. In exchange to different 5 models I purchased this beauty, a Presage (green leaf dial) and also a GS quartz. Beautiful and quality pieces but this SARB is the best, especially in terms of size.

Black version looks so stunning as well. Decided to go for the CitizenNB1050 as a black dial variation. But the SARB looks stunning in every color.
