Dials - Blue or black?

Just curious about people’s preferences. What do you prefer, blue or black dials? Why?

Also, bracelet? Leather? Or rubber straps?

The seastar does look great in blue; can’t even lie

I don’t blame you mate.

But don’t you find single pass tends to make some watches too heavy?

I like them too. But the lack of keepers on the inner side like a traditional NATO takes away from the symmetry in my eyes too

True the nato does turn an elegant watch into a tool like watch, but have to be careful elegant vs tool I guess

·

Black dial, canvas strap

·

Black dial, more versatile.

Strap? NATO (mil-spec, obvs) Sailcloth or bracelet, I'm easy - just no leather.

·

Loving blue on bracelet here with the Delma Continental

I prefer blue dials but I’ve got more black. I generally prefer to buy a watch with the bracelet but I like having options.

What’s your gripe with leather though?

Dials: always black for me because…

  1. I’m boring

  2. Don’t want to attract too much attention at work, so I stick to boring

  3. Black dials go with pretty much everything and so less thought involved wardrobe wise

  4. I’m OCD about uniformity (with my watches) so yeah they’re all black dialed…also I’m boring

Bracelet or leather…

  1. Used to wear every watch on the same style brown leather strap because it tricks people at work into thinking I own just 1 watch (when I switch them up regularly)

  2. When I moved down south and humidity became an issue I had to switch back to bracelets due leather straps becoming sweat-stained and stinky…

  3. BUT all you folks and and your slick strap combo’s are making me rethink this…

I dig the logic mate. Enjoy your pieces in good health!

Blue dials tip it, but both work for me.
