Don’t you think two-tone watches are making a come back?

im not a fan of 2-tone watches, finding them very 80s, reminds me of Miami Vice. But that changed with the recent releases from Tudor(S&G) & Rolex(Explorer 2).

I find these offerings more subtle and in some ways classy too. Wonder if anyones like me who has a change of mind with 2-tone watches.

I'm on board! Started with a two-tone vintage Breitling Aerospace and now I recently picked up a Zodiac GMT. I am really digging the look. I also like that Raven is coming out with a two-tone Trekker soon😍

I’ve just recently done a 180 on two tone. I feel like I aged 20 years overnight. 😆

Everything makes a comeback eventually, and I’m getting the sense that two tone is building some momentum.

Won’t be long before some kid in a two tone calls your all brushed retro diver a “grandpa watch”

May I count my new SRPD57 as a two-tone also? The bracelet is normal, however the dial and bezel resemble the BB ;)

·

I remember the 80’s

Two-tone watches were, are, and always will be, the purview of shiny-suited used car dealers and balding builders in leather blousons.

·

Does this look like a grandpa 80s watch?  I say no way Jose.

I’ll confess, one of my favorites:

I know I’m old! The ‘80’s doesn’t even seem very long ago!

I'm a big fan of two tone. I hope by the good graces of the time gods that they bestow upon us great tidings of many models from which to choose!

·

Two tone is and always was a really good crossover piece.  Let me explain:  If you want to wear silver and gold jewelry together, the two tone watch makes it work perfectly.

And i guess that's how 2-tone watches get their bad rep.

Two-tone can be done gaudy or it can be done tastefully. The trick is finding a watch that does the latter 😜

Me: “I’m not really into Rolex or gold watches.“

Me, after watching the Hodinkee watch collection videos with Jimmy O. Yang and Ronny Chieng: “You can’t be a successful Asian without owning a two tone Datejust. I will one day own a two tone Datejust.“

·

Yes just got my first two tone.

Tudor Black Bay GMT S&G is almost enough for me to go two tone. My wife thought the bracelet was too Miami vice but agreed on the leather it‘s a looker.
