How important is lume to you?
Lume is vital to some of us and some of us hate it.
Where do you stand on lume on a watch provided that it is good lume that does its job and in the color you like.

Makes no difference to whether I’d buy the watch or not. I do appreciate a good one though.

Poor lume isn't a deal breaker for me (the fact that I still buy Hamilton watches is proof of that)
BUT
There's no excuse for an expensive watch to have poor lume when $100 China-warehouse-aliexpress watches have outstanding lume.

For sure! About the “hates #lume” part, i know people (not enthusiasts) that would subside a watch that has lume on the dial. They think it’s childish. Now, I know they are not educated and they don’t even care. But this just struck my interest to know what does our community care abouyin this area.
It’s not a deal breaker for me.

I do hate lumed bezel inserts tho, look cheap and tacky to me.
I realise I'm in the minority on that tho.
I neither like or dislike.
I like lume enough but I do not find that it factors into a watch selection for me. If I am in a situation where I must be able to read a watch and I am staying mechanical then I will go with tritium tubes.
I don't really care for lume, it's a nice to have, but never a dealbreaker. I never really been in a situation that was dark enough to not be able to read my watch, lume or not. If it's pitch black, it's because I'm sleeping in my bed, or I can simply check my cellphone that is always in my pocket.
Fine on sports watches, but I wouldn’t want my dress watch to glow.
I like how Omega will use different colours for the minutes and hours hands. Creative solutions that work functionally are cool. Mondaine put lume on the back of the hands, which is an odd spin on things.
Studio Underdog have made it the entire premise of their latest watch!
The launch for the new Bamford x Bremont Aurora was something else. Lume extravanganza! Like someone bent a glow stick inside a sapphire bezel.
Problem is that I cannot get lume to last longer than one hour.

I haven’t tested it. But I think THORN BB58 or the ADDIESDIVE MY-H2 will do, cause I do have them and the lume is outstanding in them! (Respectively). I’ll check that.
Yeah, well… I think because dress watches are not tool watches so you won’t expect that from them. You know what I mean?
