What’s in a name?….
Ok, as I’ve shown this watch to some fellow watch nerds, I’ve been asked: “what’s it called?”
Meaning, “what’s the nickname?” as in the ‘Snowflake’, ‘Skyflake’, ‘White Birch’, ‘Night Birch’, etc….
So, since I bought this watch on the same day as the 2024 eclipse and seeing that it has a full, deep black dial…..I am officially naming this watch, the Grand Seiko “Eclipse”.
Very likely to never catch on world wide, but at least when I’m asked….I’ll have a good answer, rather than: SBGA467

Agreed, yeah it was the glass reflecting the blue sky above. Good eye!
