i'm just not a nato guy..
Factory leather, especially from Hamilton, is almost always nicer than any NATO I've ever seen. Just my opinion, of course.
Compromise and get a leather Nato. It would look great on that Hamilton.

Give a Marine Nationale strap from The Watch Steward or Nick Mankey Design a try. Far superior to NATO in comfort.
I love the leather, it's top notch. The idea was to make it a bit more rugged looking; the leather really dresses up what "should" be a field watch.

Well, if it came with the leather strap, just buy the NATO since you like it, and then you have both, as others have said;
If the occasion is formal, switch to the leather strap.
For everyday wear, wear the NATO strap.

I don't think I'll ever put the leather back on this thing. Big watch, little strap syndrome.
I'm just not a fan of nato's, I don't mind 2-piece ones. I just don't like having to tuck in the strap end
