I now have a Seiko Turtle 6309-7049. The cool bit being it has a “Hong Kong” Dial.

Looking forward to using it as a daily.

These are not easy to find on any given day. Finding one with Hong Kong dial just adds to the prize! Very nice 🤩

please forgive my ignorance, but what makes this a Hong Kong dial? I can see why this The Armoury x Paulin might be called a Hong Kong dial, It's like a California dial with Chinese script. I'm genuinely hoping to be educated here.

Hong Kong dial in this refers to the text in the micro print below the 6 O’Clock marker. The dial states the following “6309-704X T (Suwa Symbol) MOVT AND DIAL JAPAN CASED HONG KONG”.

This is because the automatic seiko diver assembly was moved outside of Japan to Hong Kong in theb80s.
