Reflective Hamilton crystals

I’ve owned my Khaki Field Titanium Auto for a year and a half and I’ve fall into and out of love with it. I’m a huge fan of the brand and I just can’t get enough of that dial color. Very pleasant to look at. And the one thing I hate is the reflection on the crystal. Sometime I feel like I don’t need any mirrors in the house because of the reflection on this time piece. Has anyone else noticed this about Hamilton?

If the crystal is the only major thing keeping you from really enjoying it, have you considered having the crystal changed to sapphire with AR coating?

It's a Hamilton thing. Possibly a Swatch Group thing. There's always something they cut corners with to save money.

With Hamilton it's the no AR and weaksauce lume.

Yes, had 4 Hamilton's ( king quartz, king auto, Murph & X-wind automatic chronograph) over the years and none lasted longer than a few months because of the crap legibility caused by reflections... Gutted. Wouldn't have another Hamilton because of that issue 😓

I’ve had the same watch. You can swap out the crystal to one with a similar diameter but then you can kick the water resistantance out the door, my watch maker/ best friend from childhood told me this so it was not just because he didn’t want to do the work. It’s because of this reason I sold it. It was hard to enjoy the watch when every time I looked at it, it was a struggle to see the actual dial.

Yeah biggest bummer about my King is the lack of AR. I try not to think about it as I absolutely love the watch, but its hard when I can see my receding hairline looking back at me! 😆

Ahh reflection is so annoying. But it is still a lovely watch!
