Last week I had the chance to attend my very first "official" watch meet, and I'm still smiling from ear to ear ๐
Here in Washington State there's a new AD called Timeworks Seattle and they hosted a Watches & Wonders recap meet. Snacks and drinks were present, but more importantly, I found my real-life "tribe" of people. WatchCrunch is definitely my digital home, and the welcome I've received, the comments people leave, and the no-frills-just-honest-real-watch-nerds-hanging-out-talking-watches atmosphere is like none I've ever experienced online. But this in-person meet was something else (again, my first, so you'll have to excuse my awe and wonder!)
United by our shared passion for watches, it felt like Judy (the manager) was working on building a community - a space where people like us can meet and hang out, talk watches, laugh, and generally speaking have a good time surrounded by tiny wrist-mounted works of art. So I put together a little video that I shot while at Timeworks. I hope y'all enjoy it, and I hope it moves you to want to attend a watch meet if you haven't already ๐

Now this is in my neck of the woodsโฆ

Nice! Are you around the Seattle area then?
Indeed, between Seattle and Tacoma.
U Village? Thatโs down the street from my sisterโs house, will have to stop by the next time Iโm in Seattle. Does Ben Bridge still have the store downtown? They have a store in Honolulu too.

Indeed! Timeworks in U Village is the newest, and the crew there is absolutely aces! I couldn't recommend them any more ๐ (Judy is the manager, and Conor is my go to guy btw)
Well done James!
Well done James!
Big thanks! Now I want to attend more of these events ๐
V cool. Great to see the community getting together.
We talk of forming relationships with boutiques but (imo) this is the best way to do it.
Hope you have many more meetups!

You're very kind - and also I couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching, and I hope to be able to attend more events and share them with the wider community โค
