Have you seen the pictures online of AD’s putting the watch in the display cases the wrong way? They think it’s a normal watch so they put it in there upside down!

Thanks for the compliment David. The allure of the Jubilee bracelet is undeniable, but for me, the precious metal Presidential bracelet is without equal. The flawless fusion of lavishness, timeless design, and the sophistication of its hidden clasp make it the epitome of wristwear sophistication, in my humble opinion.

I’m firmly a BOR guy. It has such an elegant, flowing design. The beads have a fluidity to them that other bracelets I’ve seen don’t.

Imo, the presidential bracelet’s strength is that it provides a nice middle-ground between the tooly Oyster and the flashy Jubilee. It’s has Jubilee-like articulation, but has some of that Oyster of durability with the fewer links that the Jubilee doesn’t.

Do it, do it, do it!! I think you’d have a good time playing around with it. What harm could come of it? 😏😏💸💸

Oh I have before. I go there every once in a while to look and chat a little. They don’t care that I’m not there to buy anything. I went there again recently with my younger cousin and they let us try on stuff. Very respectful. He now has his eye on a two-tone wimbolen(?) DJ haha.

This other jewelry place in town that sells a few watch brands on the other hand… when I first went to it they tried to sell me on every watch I laid eyes on. My cousin said he didn’t like it either.

I appreciate your perspective on the BOR bracelet and its fluid elegance. While I do hold the Presidential in high regard as my preferred choice among Rolex bracelets, I must confess a certain admiration for the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak bracelet as well. The craftsmanship of a solid rose gold piece I encountered at a RedBar event last February left a lasting impression on me. Although I didn't have the chance to experience how it fits, the level of finishing was, without a doubt, impeccable.

At first I was like “what’s there to know?”, but the polished bevels in certain close-ups attracted some of my attention. I’d be interested to try a mid-size on next time in a major city to see what the hype is all about.

And while I’m here, regardless of preference for bracelet, i hope that certain unique designs such as the fish scale bracelet make a come back. So many brands go with Oystwr, Jubilee, and H-link. A stroll through eBay shows such a wealth of link styles. Tissot It’s pretty good about this, but it would be nice to see them. Use some of the more unique designs consistently and maybe have straight link versions available for purchase.

Mmh! If you haven’t tried it, Bonklip is very comfortable. New ones can be had for cheap on Ali. It has the comfort of a light sweater, if I had to compare the feeling. very breathable too.

That is the next level up for sure Paul , I have a jubilee only , although I am absolutely certain your truth would also be mine if I get the chance to try one on 🙂 Hope your weekend goes well 🙂

The 36 mm Explorer is indeed an excellent selection, often underrated in the crowd of larger models. It's unfortunate that you have to venture so far to discover a Grand Seiko dealer. Have a great weekend!

I have, yes. Well—I learned of the bracelet first. Thinking about putting an aftermarket one on one of my Vostoks.

OMG! At a legit dealer?? - that’s a probably fireable offense at Rolex. Their display window rules are like holy commandments. Lightning from on high if you waver.

But… I could totally see my hot garbage AD doing something like this 😂

My AD admitted to doing it themselves a couple of times. Whenever all the oyher watches go in the other way, I could see people who are on auto mode putting it in the wrong way.
