Automatic beater watch

On the look out for a mechanical beater watch for work. Hamilton khaki King looking favourite. Are there any others I should consider? Price range £500 or below

This or the khaki field auto.  Tissot has good watches at this range as well.

Will take a look at Tissot.

Seiko Sarb033?

Fliegers are my everyday watch, you can beat them around. For £500, you could get a Laco, or a Dekla (my choice), and there are plenty of options closer to £100, such as Tisell/Seiko/Orient.

I heartily recommend!

Apologies for the two-tone image

My definition of a beater is a watch that'll take a beating.

Not sure if this lumina version the 41mm Marathon SARs are still available, but they sure are tough.

Well this is what I have now got as my beater watch. A used Oris BC3 it did need some TLC. Don't understand why people let their watches get so dirty. Ican understand knocks and dings but clean it now and again

Depending on your wrist size and what style your after really. If you like the Hamilton field style I’d either go with the 40mm King field or the 38mm khaki field. Both great watches, I’d even look at the Christopher Ward line up, 500 pounds is roughly what I paid for my C63 Sealander, great every day watch at 39mm. Don’t know if I’d call it a beater watch though, but every one is different and use their watches for different things.

My Hammy and Sealander
